1 YEAR PICTURES (SCENE 1)

Tommy went to get his 1 year pictures taken yesterday. Jeremy at Sears was great and got Tommy to smile a ton! We'll be bringing them to the party so if you see one you'd like to have keep it in mind. If anyone else wants one (or more) just let me know and I'll send them to you.

Big Boy Bath

As we approach the one year mark, it seems like a good idea to retire the baby bath for good. Here are some pictures and video of the first "official" big boy bath.

Halloween, it is!

We've made it through one of every holiday now. Saving the best for last, Yoda joined our crew. Dunkin and Gracie brought out their infamous Darth Vader & Princess Leia costumes. After the trauma this time though, I don't th ink they will be making a reappearance. Vader's mask is nearly broken in half and Leia's belt isn't attached to her tunic anymore. But we did manage to capture one decent shot of the three of them before too much was torn up.

Candy, I want!
Cute, I am!
We stayed at our house for the first hour and had five kids stop by (I bought eough candy for 100). So the second hour we ventured out into the neighborhood to get some loot of our own. We hit about 15 houses and Yoda made out! Below was our first house and Tommy thinking about taking some candy from our neighbor Pam. On about the fourth huse he did the hole deal right...walking up to the door (with help), holding the basket, picking a piece out of the bowl, and putting it inot his basket. The other 14 tries were not successful. But needless to say he was a huge hit in the neighborhood. I'll have to start thinking about what can top it next year.

After trick-or-treating we met up with Lindsey & Mark at Granite City. Tommy slept through most of dinner just about until it was time to leave. When he woke up he had some crazy sweaty hair going on that made for some good pics.

T2's Birthday

Monday was Tom's birthday. We went to Red Lobster for "All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp". Tom continues to dominate strongly in the shrimp category. This time he ate 110 while I could only mange 70. Someday I will succeed. Tommy ate two whole pieces of fish. He really seemed to like it a lot so I suspect we have another seafood eater in the family.

After dinner when we were walking out we were checking out the lobster tank. Well somebody ordered the last 3-pounder so the manager was fishing him out and Tommy got to pose with him.

When we got home Tom opened his presents. Tommy entertained himself with the recycling cans. All those toys and he wants to play in the garbage!

Ouchy Ear

Last week Tommy had an ear infection. Not a big deal to him. No fever, no extra crying, no ear tugging,...just a nasty cough that started waking him up in the middle of the night resulting in me waking up in the middle of the night. So we went into see the doctor and they gave him some anti-biotics. While we were there they checked his weight...a whopping 20 pounds 14 ounces. He should definately make 21 pounds by his birthday.

We've got the whole living room sectioned off for him and all his stuff. He got a new toy recently that has an air blower that shoots these plastic balls up in the air while music plays. This has let him hone his latest favorite thing of putting stuff in and out of containers. Unfortunately the part about having a right place for certain toys hasn't sunk in. Tommy shoved one of his counting bees really far down into the tube of that thing and it took me 20 minutes to get it out.

Tommy Playing

Fall Fun

On October 19 Tommy & I went out for a full day of fall fun. We started up in town with a yummy breakfast. Tommy loves to eat everything that we eat. This morning he had some ham, eggs, & his very own pancake. And he was so proud that he wanted to show off the pancake to everybody who would look.

After breakfast we went to Tanner's orchard. They have tons of fun stuff there. Aside from the usual apples and pumpkins they have a petting zoo, a playground, and a corn maze. He didn't get into all of it yet, but he did like seeing the goats and he went with me into the corn maze. We managed to find all twelve checkpoints eventually. It was a slow start...I don't suggest just randomly heading in one direction and expecting that eventually you find the first checkpoint and you can start from there...you just might end up wandering around for an hour and end up at the opposite end of the corn field...not that I know anything about that!

We had to take a break from the corn maze because it was pretty long. So we stopped to get some lunch and Tommy crawled around for a while. It was pretty windy, so I don't know if he was trying to taste the air or what. But whatever it was he started sticking his tongue out a lot more that day.

Tommy Chillin' at the Orchard

After we finished at teh orchard we had back home and stopped at the pumpkin store on the way home. Tommy must not have gotten enough for lunch because he spent a lot of time in the wagon trying to eat everything.
